Help! I killed the Crystal Colecanth and forgot to take his eye. When I went back, no sign of it!

I did exactly the same thing. I read somewhere on one of the boards that the colecanth regenerates. I'm going back in again to find out.

Well if that damn thing regens, you could fool me! I didn't get the eye either and here it is about a dozen trips later and still no eel! I've even had respawn set on max. Nada!
