Thanks guys. This empathy means a lot to me.
 Dan, Amanda, Amber, Sarah, Moni, Wendy, Sazerac, JJ, Draconia, Granger, Leo, Reeka, Ryan, John, Garnet, Wolfgir, Conan, Hiram, Alex, Link, Zor, Neb, Adam, Redblue and Byron. Know that I read your posts and was comforted by the unity of experience, and the promise of prayers. Thanks again. I'm leaving New York tonight, heading back to London and then straight through to Sydney. Only 24 or so hours in the air..... I swore I'd never fly Europe - Sydney straight without a nights stop-over somewhere. Oh well. It will be good seeing my family and sharing with them. Dan, I hope you're hanging in there. I was expecting the death as I spoke with him on the phone (he was in the hospital) the night before, but it hit me harder than I thought. Went for a sort of a walk. Grieved. Good to let it out. Take care guys, if I don't write for a few days. Transit looms. Adios Amigos. ------------------

Yorick, I am so very sorry for your loss.
It was very hard on me when I lost my great-grandmother. I was very close to her. In the end, she was ready for it and we all got a chance to say goodbye. I know God is taking good care of her now. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this sad time as well as to Dan's and his family.
