On a whole I think eastern europe and eastern central europe hasn't got too many members here, because of probably that durnig the communist era roleplaying books weren't available, since they were mainly in english, which wasn't encouraged. And even now the only two active hungarian posters I know of (me and Vaskez), have gone and are in Western Europe now.

I know another hungarian guy on Teambg plus a polish and czech guy so there are some eastern europeans around.

My point was that there aren't as many proportionally than dutchies or other western europeans.

Also consider the time at which you visit, especially for us Austraians we are + 10 hours GMT (Central America is - 6 i think) so it also might just be that the Dutch are active at a time closer to yourself. As for total posting members I have no idea as to why there are so many Dutch (BTW i'm not complaining), but it might be a matter of echonomics etc, as in importing forign non-translated games or something like that.

You mean movies can be dubbed?!

Holland, Belgium and Scandinavia also used to have the highest ratio of Internet connections per household in Europe, and I know Sweden had the largest annual IT growth in the world a few years ago. Don't know if that's still the case though.

Finlands been expiriencing alot of IT growth, as well. Besides me, there are about 4 other Finns that ive seen lurking about, but they're not too active, and mainly in the BG2 section(atleast we have a good taste in games...) of the forum...

When, you ask? The closest i can think of is around the 17th centry, when you guys had a HUGE navy(abuut 75% of europes ships, IIRC. most of them trade ships, though), and were the economical center-of-the-world. not much before/after that...until now, i guess
