when i finally got to jon..i didnt have problems at all...when he started casting spells. i just walked away, and after bout 30 secs cast a couple cloud kills, a couple death fogs, and a inceniary cloud from a scroll, and he dropped in 3 secs...the battle in hell was much harder.

Did anyone lse have this much ease with killing him?

I had the exakt same experience...
Just walked away and with one char around the map and Jon started chase me..
After a "lap round the couse" my other chars stood waiting to smach his face.
The battle in Hell was harder but after drinking all my "Potions of invul" it was just as easy..
I had aboute 2 potions per person so with a -4 x 2 (or is it 5 each) att every savingthrow they managed to save almost all his Spells.
True Sight dispelled his invisibility and after a Warding Whip and a few Pierce Shield it was piece of cake

Yes, it is far too easy. He was tougher in the elven forest by far.

Charlie's S-Plan diet is no better than his invisibility potion!

If one tries to face him without having him chase you to waste his spells...
His is quiet tough in the forest I must say..
Took me som time to figure this out.
But by walking around he becomes almost defenseless

When I played just one character, Jon was really easy in the forest. I just layed 4 traps and he died immediately.
In hell, i casted a simalcurum and two time stops scrolls, and he was dead shortly after. I would have to agree with you people that it was pretty easy. You should try it at insane difficulty if it was too easy.

A Nishruu is a summoned critter that drains magic when it hits. As for Irenicus, my Half-Orc Berserker (with Death Ward, Cloak of Mirrors and Shield vs. Charm/Hold/Domination) slapped his arse ON HIS OWN with the rest of the party standing back and watching. Jon mazed me a couple of times, but that just meant when I became un-mazed, some of his protection spells expire when you come back

The battle in Hell SHOULD be harder than in Suldanesselar, makes more sense chronologicaly.

As was said. Up the difficulty level, no problem there.

Jon was probably a bit of a letdown after all the hype.
