"What do you want?"
"Well, I was told outside..."
"Don't give me that you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!"
"What?"
"Shut your festering gob,you tit! Your type makes me puke! You vacuous toffee-nosed malodorous pervert!"
"Look I came here for an argument!"
"Oh! I'm sorry this is abuse!"
"Oh I see, that explains it."
"No, you want room 12A next door!"
"I see - sorry."
"Not at all....Stupid git!"

Part of one of my favorite scenes from the TV series. When I was twelve I first saw the show on Public Television and never stopped laughing!

I like Fawlty Towers, too!

Since we're on British comedy, anyone here remember The Goodies or more currently Waiting For God?

She has these, well, morbid fears they are, really.... vans is one... rats, doorknobs, birds, heights, open spaces... confined spaces, it's very difficult getting the space right for her really you know... footballs, bicycles, cows... and she's always on about men following her... I don't know what she thinks they're going to do to her... vomit on her, Basil says...

"Stop that! Stop that - you're being silly!!!"

Moiraine: Are you originally from France? You speak (or rather - type) very good English if this isn't your primary language. In either case, you must lose quite a bit in the translation sometimes.

Milamber: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Terry Gillam collaborate with Mel Brooks on one or two movies? For some reason Space Balls comes to mind, but I may be wrong.

Also, did you know that Terry wrote and/or co-wrote Labyrinth and Time Bandits. I'll have to check, but I think he also had something to do with the Dark Crystal, Willow and Princess Bride, too. He's one talented fellow!

Melusine: OH YES!! The Ministry of Funny Walks. I almost forgot that one!

P.S. - I pulled out my old tapes and found I was mistaken. The Meaning of Life is on a tape by itself. Instant Record Collection has:

Pet Shop: "Pining for the fields??? He's not pining for the fields!!! He's bleeding dead! He has passed on!!! He has ceased to be!"

Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink - Say No More.

The Lumberjack Song: "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK. I sleep all night and I work all day. ..."

And many others, but by far my favorite on this collection is . . .

"Sit on my face and tell me that you love me. I'll sit on your face and tell you I love you, too." ... (I daren't go further with this one!!! I'll get censored.)

------------------
"Allright! We'll call it a draw."

"I'm INVINCIBLE! ... You're a LOONEY!"

Dare to dream. Be bold enough to try.

The day we stop learning is the day we start dying!(c)

"Look, matey, I know a dead parrot when I see one, and I'm looking
at one right now."
"No no he's not dead, he's, he's restin'! Remarkable bird, the Norwegian
Blue, idn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage!"
"The plumage don't enter into it. It's stone dead."

OR the all-time favorite:
"Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day."

LOVE monty python! I even visit their site to revive old memories

LOLOL looks like we got something in common! LOL
to add:
how about this one?

"Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves
against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh
fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad.
When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes
after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now,
the passion fruit. When your assailant lunges at you with a passion
fruit..."
