I, not by my choice, went to one of the most toughest warrior courses ever.
18 years worth of 2 older brothers. Thats where I learned some major "crazy moves" that stun an opponent quickly.
I was beat, ganged up on, broken, bloodied, and setup. All free form, cheap shottish, and pure in its raw state ..

Hey Conan, smae here, except since my oldest brother didn't really do it much the other takes it upon himself to make up for it.
Umm, I don't really practice a martial art, but I know where to hit, and some of the dirty tricks you pick up.
Well, actually, I don't do martial arts, but I can do some proper wrestling, closer to greco-roman style, not the type which some of you might have thought of when I said that word.

I tried being just plain mean, then some Karate, Tae Kwon Do.
In the service...hmmmm...M16A2 and 9mm. They don't teach self defense in EOD, but you learn every weapon system made and how to take it apart. You also learn how to make your own from scratch.
When I went to the Federal Officers Training School we were taught some Akido and Judo. As well as M14, Remington 840, .38 special and .30 carbine.
My personal favorite however, is ranged combat with things that make big BOOMS.

Ah the good old days when I was sneaking up on unexploded ordnance...sigh...er...exscuse me I have to go wipe my eyes...

I know the art of the eel.
The most effective (read: only) technique is to tilt back the head, open the mouth and excercise the vocal chords such that a piercing scream eminates... "eeeeeeellllll!!"
