Try this puzzle game. Man, it's impossible! I thought I would seek adult (or not) wisdom and experience and see if anyone can crack the puzzle. The rules are explained. If you find the solution please PM me! I need it desperately! This has been nagging me for ages! And I want to shut that guy up! Help me!

Got it!! IF you ask me nicely I might just tell you how to beat the man.

Edit: I believe there is only one solution to this, but it works all the time

You have to count backwards here...If you played BGII - Throne of Bhaal there was a similar riddle in Watcher's Keep.

You have to end up with two rows gone on you move so that you can remove all but one of the balls in that row. I haven't done the calculations, but this did the trick in BGII anyway...

No Lennon it is not impossible. There is only one solution though.

Gil-Galad, I donīt think that strategy works here.

Iīll give you a hint: To win you MUST have two rows left with two pearls in each row and it has to be HIS move when it looks like that. Like this:

-=empty, *=pearl

Row 1) - - -
Row 2) - - * *
Row 3) - - -* *

And it must be the computerīs move at this standing. Good luck.

This is a version of the game of Nim which has been around for 0ver 400 years. I don't think it's possible to beat the computer with this set up. The player going second will always win if they know how to play.

I'd be glad to be proved wrong though.
