Couldn't find a topic on it, but yesterday (the 7th of december) the king to be of the Netherlands (Willem-Alexander) and his wife Maxima became parents of a baby girl So that's another queen

I don't mind it that much.. it's just that they rescheduled the entire television programming for it. I missed soccer because of that

Stop calling it soccer sucker, it's FOOTBALL.

And how did you miss it ? Studio sport was scheduled at the usual time, and a complete review of this weekend's matchups was at 11, also as usual. So don't go blame Maxima, you must have fallen asleep .

They will go thinking about american football if I just call it football, johnny

And I missed the 7 p.m. sport session, and when I switched it on at 8.15 p.m. (when the news normally ends) the news reporter was babbling about 'how beautiful the baby was'. As if I care

I was glad enough I could watch Lieve van Kessel (women's hockey) playing.. that made my day

For the baby's sake, i hope she looks like her mother. If she has her daddy's looks, this is gonna be one troubled child.

Netherlands celebrates royal birth

In the Netherlands, the wife of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander has given birth to a baby girl, who is now second in line to the Dutch throne. Queen Beatrix paid a visit to her son and Princess Maxima at a hospital in the Hague, as royal celebrations got underway. As yet though, the name of the newborn has not been publicly released. "This makes me very happy," said one man who went to the hospital, "especially that it's a girl. It's something fantastic, a feeling I can't put in words. I think it's wonderful for Maxima, who's really likeable."

Willem Alexander married Argentinian born Maxima in February last year in a ceremony surrounded by controversy. The bride's father was banned from the wedding after revelations he was a minister in Argentina's military dictatorship in the late 70s. That does not seem to have spoilt traditional celebrations, however, over the birth.

Ha! If you think that that's the reason, you're wrong! Balkenende threatened Willem-Alexander that if he wouldn't get the job done, he would go about and do it himself! That's the REAL reason and you know it!
