Can't understand... Why do people do things like this? What good does it do them, and have they no better way to use their time??

Trying to figure out people is impossible, it's probably easier to find out if we are alone in this universe.

Some trolls get cheap entertainment disrupting forums I think. Obviously this particular group of trolls knew eachother, it was a group effort. I suspect they are looking for cheap laughs, and only replies from us to their stupid posts will give them that. They seem to want a back-and-forth flame fest with anyone who challenges them by replying. I am so proud of Ironworks tonight. These trolls had a page full of threads, and most of them remained with a "0" reply ratio. Ironworkers didn't take the bait

One of the troll threads didn't get vaporized, "yoyoyoyoyoyoyo" by NancyCP. It's near the bottom of page one here on the GD right now.

That's a GREAT post Wendy! Wow, I was writing almost the exact same thing to Cloudy this very moment! YOu are so right.
Some kids are just bored and stupid and can think of nothing better to do than "hey let's go annoy the crap out of the members of that nice, established forum! What do those arrogant people think? "ooh we're so friendly and welcoming and the best forum on the internet?" I say let's give em hell and laugh our asses off as we create a huge flamewar". We can all congratulate ourselves that, with the help of Cloudbringer's post, NO ONE rose to their bait! I am convinced that it *would* have gotten out of hand in a number of other forums, but not here. And that's the reason why they'd already buggered off by the time Garbage Disposer Mouse came along: it was too boring trying to provoke us and have no one reply.
