At least, a new pitfall for me What happened.
While going through Dragon Spire, I realized that I forgot the Shroud in the town. "Does not matter", I thought, "Erathsmedor is, in fact, 'outside' the dungeon so that I'll be able to set a portal after 'leaving' the dungeon and go for the Shroud". I continued through the dungeon, entered Erathsmedor's area, created the portal and teleported to Ishad N'Ha. I took the Shroud and teleported back. So far so good.
When I approached Erathsmedor, I found two silent beings, Erathsmedor and Kol, standing in the Erathsmedor's room without taking any action. They lost their scripts obviously! Therefore, I was unable to tell Erathsmedor Elseramavin and give him the Shroud. I have to kill Erathsmedor and use the "killing the trigger triggers the action" feature of the game.

I don't know whether Erathsmedor loses its script everytime when you teleport out and back in his area or whether it loses its script only when you do that before Erathsmedor's killing Kol (the later was my case). At any rate, I recommend having the Shroud (and the Ring) in your inventory in the moment when you are entering Erathsmedor's area.

Wow! I don't remember my wizard knew Teleport spell when I entered into Dragon Spire...

The another one is pirat Blood Beard, if you use Vanish to enter the area, there's lots of pirats doing nothing. Waiting someone to trigger them [img]smile.gif[/img]

Think it was you Radek, who teached me to Vanish...

With the pirate Bloodbeard. He remains stationary & noncommunicative until you come out of the well. If you arrived by any other path other then the well you have to go down the well then come out to trigger him.
I would suggest that you have to go via the ordinary route in the dragonspire to trigger Erathsmedor & Kol. You may even be able to go back through the gate then re-enter to trigger them.

I suspect that with Erathsmedor, you entering back into the Gael Serran from DragonSpire is what triggers it. So going back into Dragonspire and coming back out may cause him to start his barbecue...

Hmmm... a good idea. Okay. Added to my 2do list: enter Erathsmedor's room, teleport away, teleport back, click the lever and re-enter the dungeon, click the lever and re-enter Erathsmedor's room, see what will happen [img]smile.gif[/img]

I love the way players continue to explore all the possibilities and then post them for the rest of us to read!
Isn't quite best tips material but almost needs a thread of it's own - fast travel tips or something! LOL!!

Reentering Erathsmedor's room from the dungeon does not work. The same result: silent Erathsmedor plus Kol gazing on it. Nevertheless, the following seems to work:

1. Flip the lever and enter Erathsmedor's area
2. Peek your nose into the Erathsmedor's room. Let the dragon kill Kol.
3. Return to the lever. Create portal and teleport away.
4. Do what you need to do and teleport back.
5. Erathsmedor will now continue its script. You can tell the dragon "Elseramavin" and give it the shroud. The game runs normally.

Conclusion: You must trigger the scripts of Erathsmedor and Kol before teleporting away. If you teleport away before triggering the scripts, the scripts get lost and you will have to kill Erathsmedor. Reentering Erathsmedor's room from the dungeon does not work.
