Bit late, but I didn't see anyone else posting about it.

It was only a matter of time.

Y'know, I have one question..... If the guy who gave them the answers was going to settle for just a portion of the money, why didn't the cheaters just let him sit up there and actually answer the questions, rather than coughing to them?

IIRC, they didn't use a thing to access information, I thought they were just utilising the brains of the coughing man- unless I'm wrong, they could have secured an easy million, legally.

Yeah, if you're foreign, know English, are really smart and want to make a fortune head to the English "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" show. It offers more than the German or American one 1 million pounds is worth more than 1 million dollars or Euros!

What I wonder is, how did the other people know what the amswer was? Apparently there were two "coughers", one in the audience and one in fastest finger. What if neither knew he answer?

Well, if you look back over all the answers and the "reactions" from the 2nd day, it is obvious that Major Charles knew the answer to most of the questions and the *coughs* were just used to confirm them. The only time he actually changed his answer was on the last two BIG MONEY questions - and that's when it became fairly obvious that "something" was going on with his answers and the *coughs*.
Yes - two 'know everythings' are better than one. The 'cougher' Tecwen Whittock (that's enough to convict anyone) had already won a substantial amount on his own go.

There is a 90 minute documentary of the subject tonight on TV.

I saw the documentary. Looking at it, you really can see how obvious it was. The coughing was digitally intensified, but really...on one of the late questions, Whittock even went "*cough* NO!"
