I'm writing my 4000 word extended essay on these things, and was wondering if anyone else knew about them. Or more specifically, rather than know about them, can recommend any good sites with exaplanations, or better, a good book.
I'm not a complete beginner to quantum physics, but I haven't had much teaching... more read some articles and stuff like that... so a book that explained it from the beginning would be great. If anyone knows of one...

Im not experienced in quantum computers, but I am a computer scientist with an affection for quantum physics.
If you want an intersting tidbit of a quantum "machine" of sorts, There's a guy in germany who was able to transmit a signal from one end of a lead chunk to another via a quantum leap. It litterally dissappeared from one side of the lead and ended up on the other side where it was received. He was able to send Motzard or Bheetoven through it (forgot which artist). I thought that was pretty cool [img]tongue.gif[/img] and this is always funny:
