Okay guys and gals, it's time to admit why your dentist hates you! Do you not brush often enough? Do you forget to floss? It's the moment of truth!

ok well I brush twice a day, dont use floss or mouthwash, but I thought id tell you this story.

I know this guy who went to the Dentists yesterday. He hadnt been since 1998 and his check-up cost him £25. this wasnt all though, he has to get 7 fillins, costing a massive £225!

I brush my teeth after every meal, inclduing snacks. So sometimes 4 times a day. Which is useful if I feel tempted by something, like if I'm baking and I want a chocolate chip, I'll realise I'd have to brush my teeth after so it's not worth it. I hate the feeling of a dirty mouth plus I hate hate hate getting fillings; I know, how original, but my dentist is the worst at giving needles. I know this because I've been to others and they don't cause the searing pain that he does, and I've had a LOT of needles, getting my wisdom teeth out and four other teeth (have a very small mouth ). And I chew sugar-free gum if I'm out and eating and can't brush my teeth. I'm not a big mouthwash user though, usually only If I'm going out straight away.

I brush twice a day: In the morning and right before I go to sleep.
I floss once a day: Right before I go to sleep.
I mouthwash twice a day: In the morning before I leave for class and before I go to sleep.
I go to the dentist twice a year...

Aelia, you do know that it's not smart to brush your teeth right after you've eaten something, especially something sweet or a fruit, do you? The acids that are created when you're chewing on something (the ones that cause caries) are at their worst then and you can damage your teeth if you brush them immediately after eating. It's better to wait a little while. It's also better to eat a lot of sweets infrequently than to eat small amounts frequently, BTW.

Anyway, I brush twice a day, usually floss and use toothpicks daily but sometimes I'm too tired or lazy. I normally visit the dentist twice a year. For the rest of the day I use sugar-free chewing gum.

But the bill hurt more... and I have to have the other wisdom tooth and a crown out later this month.
