...I haven't either, but it's made by Bethesda (of Elder Scrolls fame...), and based in HP Lovecraftian horror...so I picked it up. I can't play it, as there is some kind of unknown graphics glitch I'm doing research on, but once it's united with my desktop rather than laptop or mom's computer, I'm confident it will run...

Anyone else played it, read a review, etc? Impressions?

Was going to get this one. Then I learned it uses the Starforce copy protection method, and I'm not touching it.

fwiw, bethesda is the publisher, not the developer.

i'm a pc girl, but gameplay is better on the xbox. the pc version has sloppy controls, and since there are really hard, unsurvivable fights, it can get old fast.

plotwise, it has all the darkness, creepiness and outright horror you'd expect from a cthulhu-based game. altho, re-doing encounters multiple times because you get slaughtered kinda eliminates the horror and replaces it with frustration.

i just never finished it.

I reread the Email I had from UBISOFT about HOMM V and Starforce....it was kind of hard to read but yeah they (Jason) Confirmed that They did in fact not use Starforce The wording was awkward but guess it means they did not use it.
