Man, I gotta love NPR! Especially when you're traveling; it's so much more stimulating to listen to than mindless deejay drivel and the crash'n'bash that passes for most FM stations.

Who out there is an NPR fan? What are your favorite programs/features? I got a kick out of "Motley Fools" today...a pretty hip program that brings finance and investing *down to earth* and discusses those topics in a zany, non-boring way. I also love the biographies NPR puts on.

If you've never tried NPR, you can generally find member stations around the 87.9 to 90.9 range on the FM dial, or you can search for a station in your area at http://www.npr.org/ .

Cheers,
-Sazerac

Yes, Caleb, it's talk radio...serious talk radio, not "Howard Stern" or any other such drivel. It's pretty middle of the road though; neither left nor right.

I imagine the Buzz would be a fun one to listen to as well!

Cheers,
-Saz

npr, middle of the road?please!if you want to find out how many people listen to npr, just take away all tax payer support.they would never stand up if they had to go head to head with the news and music stations.the same goes for pbs.even moreso for pbs.

Well I don't get NPR but I do listen to WMAL here in the DC area, which is talk radio, of course it carries such favorites as Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, and Michael Reagan but I usually don't here those people, since Im at work when they are on. Aside from those three it is a fairly middle of the road station.

Once again, we agree wholeheartedly! Jo and I really enjoy most of the programs on NPR. Ever listen to Home Prairie Companion?

In case anyone would like to check it out, the Motley Fool website is GREAT !!!!

talk radio and a little classic rock is all that i ever listen to when i'm in the car. michael medved, dennis prager, olie north, limbaugh, michael savage, hue hewwit, laura engraham, and mike gallager to name a few.

i rarely listen to npr unless it is prarie home companion or the weakly radio address by the president.

Oh yeah! And lot's of Talk Radio on AM. My Jazz station is NPR, and it's always 'calming' compared to (as you said) these DJ Clones (Don't they all sound the same?) bashing everyone or doing moronic things.

I listen to KFI Los Angles sometimes--ever listen to Phil Henry?
