There is a guy at work that wants to bring his laptop in for me to look at because for some reason when he holds shift and then presses 2 (to get the "@" symbol) he gets " ' " I said it might be possible to remap the key....
From what I can see it isn't, I have the server 2003 toolkit which gives you the key remapping program, but unfortunately I can only map normal keys, not combination keys. Does anyone know of another way to do it? Thanks in advance [ 09-12-2005, 02:47 AM: Message edited by: Hivetyrant ] |

Sounds like you've got your laugauges setup wrong.
Goto the control pannel, and open Regiaonal and Landuage options. Then click the Languages Tab Then Click details. Then click Add, also you can change the default input, if you need to install new language packs you'll need your windows CD. Many countrys have a diffrent keyboard layout, make sure you use the right one for your computer.

Also, if you press "CTRL" and "SHIFT" together, the keyboard remaps itself. Pressing the two buttons at the same time once more returns your keyboard to normal.

I have a finnish keyboard. You get the @ with alt-2 and shift-2 gives a ". And in BG2 I have to guess half of the keys. As Q said, check the language settings.
