I'm sure I read somewhere on these pages that someone had got a great piece of armour from D'Soto.I got nothing at all from him and, apart from the shroud and two ankhs, there was only c**p in the two chests in the room to his left.
Have I been short changed here or am I missing something?

Hi Zero!

When you finally defeat Haleabus and get to talk to D'Soto you learn the word you will need to say to Erathsmedor and you get the Shroud to give Erathsmedor. You do not get a great piece of armor (unless you want to count the Shroud which you need to give up later). There is such a thing as D'Soto's armor but, best as I can recall, you do not get it from him.

So you haven't been short changed, you were just expecting something which isn't actually part of the game.

Perhaps you are thinking about the Dragon Armor? The Dragon Armor you get from the Stout King and will need to enter into the Dragon Spire.

if you want to upgrade treasure finds you it is advisable that you have Ratling open the chest as he finds more gold and better itmes with the GoldDigger trait. also if you Save before a chest and are disgruntled with its contents you can always reload and open it again which almost always changes the chest contents.

Mentallly Yours,
Si

I too was totally bummed when I didn't get D'Soto's armor from him (Divine Chain, as I recall) because I had read something about it in this forum. I got it from Erath's chest a little later.

Have fun. I'm still (8 months later) trying to finish the game. But I'm almost done.
