The thing is that Americans do things a lot differently, and i'm asking why? The American spelling spell every word without a 'u' (except in the 'qu' words), also we say aluminium, but they say aluminum or something like that. Americans also drive on the right hand side, as opposed to the English where it is the best way to drive on the left, left side is better! But could someone point me in the right direction of why this is?
I think India is more alike England as compared Australia.
We speak almost the same sort of English and otherwise also The two countries are much alike. As in Games etc.

Anyways. About USA, i am really not amongst the people who support or LOVE the USA i am really not sure if i even Consider it as a Part of the WORLD. they r too Different to be amongst us.

Yes. Far too different. Even though India is like England is like the USA? No, no, you're right. And really, what's this about uniting different peoples? Screw that, they're different. I don't know what it's called where you're from, but if someone here said they didn't consider India part of the world because Indians are too different from us, I would label them a racist pig and treat them as such. Your comment is no different. If you didn't realize someone would take offense to your remark, an apology is due, after which point we'll move on with our lives.

That post has won you a warning, at least.
Maybe more.

I suppose you forgot that the Webmaster here is also a US citizen.

to quote a teacher of mine from highschool-"no world problems will be solved so long as it 'us against them.' it will have to just be 'us.'"

i don't really care that my culture is different than yours. i live mine, you live yours, let's all just be happy to have eachother to learn from.

and if a_decent_1 is going to bring the iraqi war into thie thread, i'd liek to officially request it being moved to CE. i know there are some people in GD who owuld like to avoid this debate and the flaming that it typically breaks down into.

He then led a highly successful campaign, winning the Battle of the Wilderness against the French, guaranteeing the English loss of the colonies through sheer military might. The King just gave up and cried, pretending nothing had happened, and the rest of England didn't know America had annexed France until after the French Revolution of 1905.

That's why America is so different.
*ROFLMAO* That is awesome, too bad it's too big for a sig quote.

Two is also to; the word niggard is phonetically similar to a racial slur and has gotten people fired despite being used in the proper context and meaning; quite simply when you've got a language that is a mish-mash of romantic languages, germanic, celtic, nordic, etc the language itself is bound to be a very confusing and difficult one. The best you can do is learn the roots and understand it, or you can sit on your duff and complain that it's odd.

India is similar to England because at one point England invaded it. Then came Gandhi and united the people so the English had to either leave or kill the entire population of india. As the latter would not have made them look really good in the eyes of other nations, they chose the former. But not before at least partially assimilating India.

Going to war with ones fellow nation does not make one abnormal in any way. Most of Europe took part in second world war. Should they be excluded when talking about the world?
