Okay, its that Yuletide time and I was wondering what your favorite Christmas Present(s) from the distant past, i.e. childhood, were (and if you didn't celebrate Christmas fill in your favorite anyway). Mine were two:

1. Creepy Crawlers - unlike the new version this one gave you the wonderful opportunity of burning yourself! My brother and I played with this for hours. I still wish I had the original heating element (indestructable) and molds. I bought the new version about 9 years ago and my children still play with it.

2. Green Ghost - my all time favorite board game as a kid. You could play with the 12 Green Ghosts and the cat, bat, rat, and vulture without necessarily playing the game itself. However, the board with its haunted tree, house, and shipwreak made a great playing field.

I thought this game was long out of print. Then last year my family and I went and saw Santa Claus 2 and in the scene where the teachers are having a Christmas party the camera pans and there is a brand new boxed version of Green Ghost. I said to myself, "Now where in the world did they find that?!" A quick internet search showed that it was still being manufactured. Needless to say my son got his own version last Christmas... *cough* *cough*

So, what are your old time favorites?

When I was 19 and in the Navy, my friends sent me airline tickets to come home for Christmas. I didn't have any days of leave left at the time but they got ahold of my duty officer and arranged for me to go home anyways.
