Who here is a fan of this series? I think it's the most enthralling series I've ever read. The only one that comes close is the "Narnia" series I read when I was younger. The characters personalities are so alive in these books. The world and creatures are so unique. Has anyone read a series as good? I'd like to know where else to look for reading material as I'm now waiting on the new books to come out.

Terry Goodkind has a good series of books. Its not as good (IMHO) as Robert Jordan's but it's interesting.

Before this gets moved... Hi Mom!!

Hi Sir Kenyth, I've read all nine books of the Wheel of Time series, and agree, they are great books. Great BIG LONG books LOL! As for other good authors, I'd take a look at Terry Goodkind, as H. Sedai has mentioned, and also my favorite of favorite authors of Fantasy and Science Fiction, C.S. Friedman

LOL! Yeah, no kidding. You do get your moneys worth in reading hours. The hardbacks are not good reading material for the weak of arm. The print on the paperbacks requires a fairly recent eyeglass prescription too!

Was there a video series on the lord of the rings? I see pictures of actors on the covers at the book store now. Did they just pose for the covers? They are familiar looking faces so I know they're actors.

Robert Jordan rules! David Eddings and Katherine Kerr are also good.

And, yes, there's an old series of three animated movies. Plus the new 'live action' one coming out later this year.
