Trouble in sewers

I have found the Wizard Mekrath and the actor, when I am here I can't get the actor free because I do not have"Continue" so we can't communicate,also I have one of the party who has gone up a level but I can't click on "accept" because it is not hi-lighted.
Solution please if there is one,this is on disk two

1) Have you talked to Mekrath yet?

2) Usually, "accept" won't be highlighted if you have to select something else, like weapon profs, thief abilities, or HLAs.

I have spoken with him but had to "Run away" in order to survive,do I have to finish him off first?
I guess I did not choose a weapon when up a level,did not look for one

You have to either complete Mekrath's quest or kill him. Since he's attacking you, I would guess the first option is right out [img]smile.gif[/img]

Try waiting for his spell buffs to run out, then buff yourself up and get him. Make sure you have something that deals elemental damage (fire, acid, cold, poison) to get through his Stoneskins to disrupt his spells, and perhaps some Magic Missiles to pop his Mirror Images.

I had my thief check for traps by himself so he spoke to Makrath, thankyou for your help

Don't ever pick an option that mentions the gem. That makes him go hostile.
