Here's the nittygritty. At one point Dave wanted you to be able to go back there. (Building caves with that editor was very time consuming!)

It was going to be their little lair. We even had a chest box back there. One thing lead to another though, and then there was no need to go back there anymore.

So whatcha get is an empty, barren cave. There's lots of little things like that all over W&W. Like, didja know there was suppose to be a 3rd, secret path to the Crypt "Wizard or Warrior" urn pathways? It was going to be for the Thief class.

There was also a huge catacomb maze built on the far eastern Crpyt that was removed for some reason (was it tedious or system limitations at the time?)

OK, so apart from the Snake Temple Belfry none of these once constructed, later omitted places really have anything in them?

Yeah, there's no real other areas that I can think of.

The attic in the snake temple was suppose to be a secret, unnecessary area to explore. I'm always for rewarding the person who explores every square inch. But I think Dave wired it up so that you had to go there. (sigh)

The original layout of the Temple had a 3rd floor which had sleeping QTRs and the High Priestess chamber. That was ripped out for memory reasons.

I rebuilt the temple (& the crypt) to better suit the gameplay (& make it look waaay better). But it was never replaced in the game

I had thumbnails & maps of the new areas up at one point, but I my current website is down. (Someone else might have them, if anyone's interested).

Thank you for the inside information. I am an explorer myself. I always try to explore every possible aspect of an adventure game.

I think we all hope to have a Wizards & Warriors 2 coming up!
