problem running icewind dale
hey, I looked everywhere and couldn't find anything on it, sorry if i've missed something. But my disk for icewind dale comes up as empty on my computer (a box even comes up asking if I want to burn files to the cd etc) it is a legal copy, and IWD2 works fine! Anyone else experience this or is it just a gliched cd?

At a guess, I'd say you've got a glitched CD. I haven't heard of any bugs like the one you describe, and I didn't find anything through google...but perhaps someone more knowledgable might find something.

I haven't heard of it. I also suspect it's the CD.

do you have another pc to check it on? A friend's? It might be something with your PC and not the CD
If it is the CD, then if you have the receipt and everything try and get it replaced at the store where you bought it. It might be the simplest solution.
