My assassin is level 18 and killing dragons holding on to his buckler+...nothing, it is just a normal bloody shield.

I need a better shield for him and where I can get it.

thanx

The high level ability use any item (assuming you've got ToB) and wield the Sentinel +4 or the Fortress Shield +3. In the meantime, there's a buckler+1 in Maevars Guildhall, Docks, on the second floor. It's in the room with all the doors your thief can practice on, on the back wall at the right hand side IIRC.

Except that Saving Grace is a medium shield, and he is a Thief, and he does not have ToB, which means no Use Any Item, which means... it does crap for his Thief.

Is the Shield of Harmony or the Shield of the Lost an option? Or are they both Small Shields?
