Two thousan' ten rolls off easily enough. A bigger question for me is what we're all going to call the decade. 10 years ago i recall everyone being confused about what to call the zero-x years, until some bright spark dubbed it the noughties. What do they call this decade? What did they call it (if anything) 100 years ago?

That's how the Chinese have always said it though, isn't it? Number by number?

Here in my country, we say it all the way through. Heh, even during the last millenium, we usually said it like "(one) thousand nine hundred ninety nine", etc. Due to that, and also since probably all of the English speakers I'll be seeing anytime soon speak it as a foreign language, I'll most likely say "two thousand ten" for simplicity.

@ Sever

I see "the teens" as a possibility.

Two Thousand and Ten for me....my job requires me to be precise when talking to customers to avoid accidently prolonging high value business customers with more than was intended ( they tend to grow grumpy when I do that ).

That's the first one that springs to mind, but i shudder at the thought of anything being called "the teenies".

@ TL: That'll make em think. How about "one hundred score 'n half"?
