I have been Moiraine only since this Board - before, I have aways taken Modesty as a pseudo, referring to Modesty Blaise (a heroine of books and comics, well known in England, not at all in France). My sig is Modesty Blaise !
I has decided to try a new pseudo here since my husband kept telling me that Modesty was a ridiculous name, for all people not knowing Modesty Blaise ...
