My mother was reading the manual of her new Nissan Tiida, and came across this intriguing piece of advice for the CD player

Um. Has technology passed me by again? Do CDs actually come in non-round forms? Trapezoidal, perhaps? Heart-shaped for that compilation of ballads?

You can get special promotional ones that are credit card sized.

Yep. Found a company here that will make promo CDs in any shape you want, from your company logo to a heart or whatever.

When we bought American Grafitti, it came with the movie's soundtrack on a CD that was shaped like a drive-in diner waitress's torso. It also came with a warning advising against putting it into slot-loading CD Players.

I'd never heard of it, either Aelia! Learn something new every day, I guess!

What concerns me the most is that someone actually was reading a manual for a car.
