But when I saw it, I think it was a scan of an old pamphlet.

Although I believed this the first time I read it, further research shows some inconsistencies in the wording with the timeframe from which it supposedly came. The word "sex" for instance, although known, would have been a very daring term to use at that time, particularly for a pastors wife so much against sexuality. It would have been the equivalent of using the term "screwing" in a current conservative informational church leaflet. Not quite swearing, but certainly coarse. "conjugal relations" would probably be the term of choice. Also "Turn off the lights" was not a common phrase to those relatively new to electricity. "put out" or "extinguish" were the terms of choice. Even my own grandmother still used those terms and she grew up in the early 1900's. The wording of the entire piece seems entirely too modern. The very last paragraph certainly seems out of place. It sounds as though it's meant to mock what it's saying. Certainly a pamphlet or book written by a pastors wife and meant to be read by anyone would have been worded less callously. I'm pretty sure this is a fake. At the very least, it's been rewritten and embellished.
