Well, the reason all the messages were gone was that the file that 'linked' to all the messages (headers) somehow was deleted and reset. I found out that this is a wonderful little bug in this board software ..
Anyway, I was VERY lucky to find a great perl script that rebuild the entire message thread file!!! (Thats why you see the same little icon for each thread, it only defaults to the one image ). anyway, we lucked out -- this is just another reason I'm switching to UBB soon heheh.. (WHEW).
