Sorry I don't remember the name but it was a great Sci-fi RPG game from New World Computing back in early 1989.The graphics were so Ultima VI or VII like.

I remember having a lot of fun creating my party and running around the galaxy trying to figure solve an epic storyline.

I also could modify and upgrade my ship too.

Unfortunately my computer drive, all 20MB of it crashed and I lost the game.

I'd like to see another sci-fi RPG game like this done. anyone know of any new companies planning to do an epic adventure game like this?

If this is the game I'm thinking of, I've been looking for it the best part of a decade. But without the title, date of release, or even the developer/publisher, twas difficult.

OK. Heres it:

I havent heard of any new games quite like this though. THere are games where you can run around the galaxy freeform, but they tend to be more ike freelancer or Iwar2 than this.

Ah here is the game description link. It was indeed called Planet's Edge by New World Computing and released in 1991

It was actually made by the same creators of Might and Magic. The premise is that Earth disappeared after an alien ship blasts it.

Amazingly it was written for DOS

I wish someone would come out with another game like this. I had a lot of fun.
