I just restarted the game and I'm planning to make a different party than last time. I'm in Irenicus's prison, and I need the Portal Key to get throught the portal.
SPOILER - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You can find the portal key in the room by the 3 dryads. The thing is, when I take the portal key, it gets stuck to me and when I click on it, it says, "This item cannot be removed." So I decided to go through the portal to see if it'll get unattached, but it didn't. I loaded the game before finding the key, got it again, and it got stuck to me again. Is this supposed to happen?

Yes. This key is un-removable.

Yes, it is supposed to happen. I guess it is to stop you from losing it. It will go away once you leave Chateau Irenicus (a.k.a the first dungeon)
