I've been reading up on the reviews for the Throne of Bhaal, but I'm not totally sold yet. I never really bought an expansion pack yet for any of my games because I've always considered them 1/2 games rather than something you can spend your money on....anyone have any diff thoughts? Why should I get the Throne of Bhaal instead of like Diablo 2 expansion, anyway? And is it worth the price?

Black Panda,
This would probably be more appropriate in the ToB forum, and you would get better replies to your ammediate question from people who have played it
but in reply to your question.I liked it! So I guess if you like something
enough you could say "yes" I believe it was worth it. I myself have only
bought one expansion/add on or wahtever you want to call it. that I could honestly say "was worth it".And that was BgII

Well, an expansion is extended play, and everyone loves more gameplay. It gives the game more flavour. I would say, if you want to spend more time on the game, get ToB, if not, then just stick with your solos.

Definitely. It's a pretty big expansion, not even taking replayability into account.

If you have never bought an expansion before, then you have missed out on getting Tales of the sword Coast. It took me almost as much time to get through that expansion as it did to do all of BGI. I really hope you will get it, and ToB. Throne of Bhaal is more than just an expansion. They purposely made this game the conclusion to the entire series. The story is wonderful, and the play time is very lenghty. I am fighting a particular dragon riht now (I won't spoil), that I cannot get past no matter what I try! I am thankful that ToB has a better AI script for the monsters, because it should be nearly impossible to beat an old dragon.
Final word. Buy expansions.

It's great. It adds A LOT to the original game.

"Is it worth it?"

Are you kidding? Get it. That's all I have to say - just get it.
