I am going to buy Baldurs Gate II soon, and I know there is romance. I have 9 and 7 yearold bros who will want to play it, or at least watch me. Should I let them? They can be vary immature, you know..."eeeeewwwwwwww, they're kissing"

It's discretionary really. There's words like "piss" and "bastard" in the game, I know my mate used to let his 7 year old niece watch with him, it doesn't seem to have unbalanced her.

Hmm, about the only place to worry about is the Underdark. Everything else will do fine.

The romances are handled discretely - it's all dialog, but nothing is ever shown. Viconia's dialog can get a little uh...mature...at times, but that's it.

Sometimes when you kill something it blows up into little chunks, but things like that can be handled with the "gore or no gore" option in the game.

There is more innuendo in the game, obscure enough for young children not to pick up on it, so you should be all right

You can always play a half-orc like I did and then there is no romance or should that be

Or if you don't mind downloading an editor like Shadowkeeper, you can turn the romances off, as best as you can.

The violence is much more disturbing than the romance.

Society is kind of sad really. It's OK for kids to see violence but not sex.
Or maybe that's just my opinion...
