No golf this weekend,c**p weathr, course closed. So I've done little else but played W+W all weekend. What a terrific game!!Just reached ShuruGeon Castle and met mantraps!!As Wild Bill Hickok used to say:"Well boys, then they killed me."However thanks to this board I finally killed them.
By using this board and its search function I've not had to ask too many foolish questions.
One thing does puzzle me though. Are priests hard to build?I've had my other characters switch classes and therefore level up quickly but,if I read things right, you can't do this with a priest if you want highest vine and spirit spells.
Does anyone know of a way around this?Would switching her to a paladin and then to a ranger do the trick,or would you end up losing both forms of magic?

Priest are no harder to built than Wizards. As a rule of thumb, your magic users should never change roles before you've obtained ALL the level seven spell you desire in realms that he cannot obtain later. Don't forget that once you change your role, you only gain spells at 1/2 your skill level.

Usually, I use the following as a progression guideline before I switch roles:

Wizards: Fire 3, Stone 7
Priests: Vine 7, Spirit 3 (lower if changed to ranger early in the game)
Rogue: ASAP when in Ishad N'ha
Fighter: level 3, change to barbarian or paladin
Barbarian: usually not before level 7
Paladin: Spirit 7 (lower if changed to monk)
Ranger: Vine 7
Ninja: Moon 7
Samourai: Sun 7
Bard: Moon 7 (lower if changed to ninja)
Monk: Spirit 7 (lower if changed to paladin)
Warlock: Fiend 7

Assassin, Valkyrie and Zen master: you DON'T change them

The answer to your question is yes, switching the priest to paladin will allow you to continue learning spirit spells, and being a ranger will develop vine spells..
