I liked the Undedark the most. It was also fun killing all the monks right afterwards, don't know what chapter... Anyway I got this super crossbow!
As many others I didn't like the Ice Temple(except the gaming room) and the Dragon's eye.. Really crappy!

Hmmm, I liked the underdark but not the monestery. I found all the challanges bits a bit annoying, including battlesquares. The Dragon's is as Marty said almost indistinguisable from the first game.

I didn't like the chapter with the neverending forest...i beleive that was chapter 3. Unless youhave a character with high tracking ability it gets a bit annoying since i can never remember which way to go!

However i did like the Black Raven monastery and the duergar part of the game. Sometimes i would separate my gang up in the monastery and then turn on the monks, revelling in the mass slaughter...bwahahahaha. Then i'd go back to the dueguar, collect my reward and then kill them for being shorter than i was.

You don't need all that high a Wilderness Lore. Besides, it's an incentive to take a Ranger, Barbarian, or Druid. I have to think that with decently sized parties, the odds are pretty good that people will have at least one of these classes.

Heck, you can even get a decent level of WL skill with a cleric. Just invest a couple of points in WL and together with the WIS bonus that's normal for a cleric, you should have a half-decent WL skill.

I definitely enjoyed the Prelude and Chapter One alot more than the rest of the game. I found myself generally a little too much in a "been there, done that" type emotion. The game also made me feel like an insane power-gamer by chapter four.

Battle Squares was an interesting novelty for a while but got a little frustrating with the thought that you could miss out on items if you didn't do it all at once. I had to come here to spoil myself for information about it.

But I'll always have fond memories of playing the prelude for the first time. It sets the scene so well with its arctic ambience and sweet soundtrack. Furthermore, the depth of interaction is just so much more stronger here than in the rest of the game. It was on a par with starting more like Baldur's Gate than Icewind Dale was.

Defending Targos from the goblins was memorable for me - the sense of tension from the music combined with the heightening idea that your party is so vastly inexperienced. I enjoyed this part so much so that I downloaded a wallpaper depicting the Targos battlement wall amid winter's chill.

It was a good game, but I was quite pleased and relieved to finish it in the end to be honest.

My favorite part was proctecting the Heartstone with ol' whatshisname in Kuldahar...Gotta love those rings of protection +3...

Then theres the unforgettable feeling of making throught the forest maze alive. Thats when I start to really enjoy the game.
