well i may have said i have done all tech things and so fourth ra ra ra.. but i'm not realy a computer kinda guy, so im wondering if somebody could tell me how to:
Get into gates and houses Stop the game crashing when i click on the mouse get voices back into the game. (speaking like gareth and monster talking) I know there is a Tech Tips thread, but at my age i can't realy understand what you mean, so if you have msn and are able to help me out with better understanding it would be appretiated. rustydude_69@hotmail.com is my email address for all of you playing at home. And maybe theres a thing not done that i may have to do to complete the crypt quest, as you all know that i can't find the key hole. [ 07-21-2005, 05:25 AM: Message edited by: burnzey boi ]

I'm on vacation this week, but if you want to send me a PM with your issues, I'll do my best to walk you through it all when I get back on Sunday. We tried to write the Tech Tips thread so you didn't have to be a tech-head to follow it, but we may have missed occasionally
It sounds like you need to do the virtualdub thing to get them going... you can search through the archives for "virtualdub" and find a couple of posts where I tried to give step-by-step fool-proof instructions. Unfortunately, I may have had an inferior set of fools to work on...

It's in the media folder, IIRC, and the "n" is not exactly part of the filename -- it stands for a number, 1, 2, or 3. You repeat the process once for each file.
And I was just opening things up for the possibility that I now have some superior fools to work with

Neither. Open a Windows Explorer window (Windows key + E, right click on my computer and select Explore, or start, accessories, Windows Explorer) and navigate to your W&W install folder. In there, you'll find a directory called media or movies (I forget which). That's where you'll find the files.

No problem. Send me a PM with the details, and I'll look into it.
BTW, the "foolproof" line comes from a movie or comedian from some years ago. He used to say things like "this is foolproof -- and I'm just the fool to prove it". It's also tempered by a Murphy's-type law which states that it's impossible to build anything that's actually foolproof, because the universe is building bigger and better fools every day. So no umbrage, nastiness, innuendo, or anything else is implied. Just an attempt to weave humor into daily activities.

I have sent Bungleau a screenshot from my game, and as he too noticed that there wasn't a keyhole there to place the key. Now, should i re - install my game or won't that do anything?

I just loaded the game on my system so I could verify where the receptacle is supposed to be. It *should* be in the middle of the top "green snake" row, the thick one. It's in the wide area of the door jamb, not the skinny one. And it's definitely not there on your screenshot
My suggestion is to copy your savegames folder and roster.dat files, and then reinstall the game. Perhaps something went kerplooey during the install... or perhaps there's a bad image file or something. If that doesn't work, we may have another option or two, but they're getting very limited
