probs installing. (another prob please help)

Im having problems installing the game. I originally had the install disk ( bought copy ) and the play disk ( burnt, scratched copy ) when it had got half way through installing and i had to put the second disk in it was to scratvched and I had to cancel installation. Now when I try to install again it comes up with this message;

I have even bought a new copy of the game today ( first hand ) and the problem is still there.

I trioed to reformat the computer but not even that is working. I thought this might be because of the fact that i had the powerpack changed and it isnt the same company as the rest of the pc therefore the recovery disks arnt working. i cant delete,install,uninstall, reformat the game/computer and its really pissing me off.

help please

Or maybe an easier way:
Start->Run

F:\Setup.exe -CleanRegistry

replacing F with CD drive letter if different.

I downloaded add/remove 4 good and it worked a treat and im now of to the shaengarne. cheers all.

well here i am again and yet again there is another problem. outside the ice temple and just got a level up. when i go to click next after allocating my skill points a error notice occurs say ( and here i quote)
" an assertion failed in infscreencharacter.cpp at line number 3104 "

will the patch fix this or maybe reinstalling?

Patch it always. If it doesn't work. I dunno. Maybe reinstall, but doubtfull it will be necesary. The patch isn't so big.
