Original v Platinum edition warning
Everybody in the world might already know this, but if not be warned. As the owner of the original NWN game which required Pentium II 3ooMHz, 96 mb of RAM and a video card of 16MB minimum specifications The game played reasonably well on my old clunky machine. So the other day when I finally got round to buying the platinum edition with SoU and HoU I never bothered to check the system requirements on the box, after all it would be the same game of course After loading the game and finding it running like a dog (a dead one) I checked the game specs on the new box Pentium 4 1.3 Ghz or higher, 512 mb RAM for XP, 64mb video card with hardware T&L support (whatever that is) is now recommended So now I have to wait 4 months before I can get my new computer to be able to play the game ... sigh!

Man thats no good Wellard.
You would think they would be the same (since they are all based around the same engine) gues some of the new stuff in the expansions required a beefier machine. Can't wait to see you in Undermountain.

Have you tried toning the graphics down a bunch? I've had to that on mine and, while not nearly as pretty, it still looks good, but more importantly I can play it without it being extremely choppy.

Can't you grab one of the cheap Dell systems and pay on credit?
T&L means texture and lighting btw. |

BTW, my comp doesn't even meet most of the requirements for the game, and it works fine. In fact, most of my games are apparantly too much for my computor. |

Updated my graphic card driver and now I can play the game ... wwhhheee I have to turn things down to low detail and such but I can play without the jerkyness. I will still need to upgrade before I go online to the under mountain mod I guess.

Good grief! What did they do to the gfx engine to make it need such a spec? *shakes head in bewilderment*
