DOH !!!
Well, I was WAY off.... I have heard of the orbit theory you mentioned, but you "hush-hush" attitude had me thinking you were referring to the "other" theories I mentioned. Had me thinking you are a Scientologist or something (not that there's anything wrong wiht that) [ 04-19-2002, 01:39 AM: Message edited by: RudeDawg ]

Thanks for splainin Farscry
To be honest I have never heard of a tenth planet before (Just call me mr ignorant ) and I sure as hell hope that it doesn't do what you say it will, but if it does then I will consider myself forewarned And don't worry about getting flamed for something like this here, we're all mates

Downunda - Thanks for the kind words. And hey, don't feel ignorant; I never heard of this stuff until my dad starting talking to me about it in January.
Rudedawg - No, I'm not a scientologist (are they the ones who don't believe in going to the doctor? yeesh... here's where MY ignorance will show itself! ) Oh, and Downunda, I'm with you. I REALLY hope that none of what I've read comes to pass. I'm glad I'm aware of it so I'm not caught as much by surprise as many people will be if it does come to pass, but I pray that it never happens. Farscry

Hmm...a tenth planet....and here all this time people had been telling me that the ninth planet was actually just a moon (not sure if I believe that).
Why the controversy? We'll know soon enough, it's not like it's a faith, for crying out loud.

The tenth planet on the other hand has never been observed - but mathematical calculation involving orbits of the outer planet show that something is out there - but if its a planet it must hae an extremely low albedo not to be visble after a century of searching. Remember, with the telescopes we have nowadays we have (poor)pictures of extra-terrestrial planets, although not earth-type ones. AS for a close pass in 2003 - well, pluto has an orbital period of 200 years, a planet with an orbital of 2007 years (Christ was born in 4 BC, some tit screwed up the calendar later) would have to be quite close to pass that quickly. Unless its in a cometary orbit, which dosent fit the excentricities in the orbits of the outer planets at all.

My thoughts after a quick read of the previous threads (no flames intended):
Pluto actually has a sister planet (?) called Charon. If "planet X" is supposed to pass by the earth in 2003, it would mean that it's very, very close - close enough to be observed. After all, the further out the planet, the longer it takes to revolve around the sun. Pluto takes a couple of hundred years (iirc) to orbit once around the usn.

Thats a disturbing read..the links I mean. Really begins to sound like the end-times. Of course there is that thing about not believing everything you read, but it does make one thoughtful. Ignorance is bliss I say..

The planet Nibiru will come into view on the 23rd of December, in the year 2003... when it does something will happen. All that I know is that that is the exact date in which the Mayan Callendar ENDS... the wheels poitns intersect and it can turn no further... perhaps this means that life as we know it will change durastically... or end...

This may be disturbing to read, but I find it very intruiging. I intend to read and search for a lot more information. WOW I really like the ideas. Of course it's not so good to hear two thirds of the world population is going to die.. That's really bad..
