I remember when the world was a wonderful blue. Where all the good people played Wizards and Warriors, and these wonderful amigo's laughed at the poor shmucks playing Baldur's Gate because those benighted hordes always failed to appreciate that the only RPG games worth playing are in 1st person perspective .

Some people turned out to be weak in the force. Those that swayed to the dark side were ever cast out from the W&W side to many aguished wailings and gnashings of teeth.

Wyvern was our leader, but our gang included Sazerac, Scronan, Alicat, Lily the Alaskan Ranger, Freudian Slip, and some dutch guy who's name (alas and to my shame) now escapes me.

Then along came GD, and my first meetings with "the dark side". I ventured into the New Hope Inn and some punk cowboy blew a hole in my best Fedora and the pit fiend ran off with the remnants.

YOU STILL OWE ME A HAT SIR TAINLY!!!!!

LOL, did you just call us 'old', Hivetyrant? *winds up her 'bbq'd member spell' for old time's sake*

Ahh, the old days.... steamy threads, Lord of Alcohol and the fishnet speedos, Black Knight and the first IW forum soap opera with Cloudbringer and LadyZekke, Armie, Mems, LoA, Sir Tainly and so many more.

And who could forget Donut in his gender-uncertain days?! Or the three Ramons?! Ahh..life was blue then...or at least the board was!

And since there was all of like 10 people posting on all of what...four forums?...I also read every single post ever made back in the day. It did not take long at all.
I remember reading every single post on the forum, as well! Back then I only had weekend internet access, and on dial-up, so never for too long. So I lurked a lot during the first months, when Big Bagger showed up for the first time and Jerome the Evil Paladin and this other guy.... man what was his name?? He was one of the first members, IIRC, and didn't stick around for much longer after that.

Among the first members I remember or talked to or liked (or all three) were Memnoch, Rikard, Epona, Lord Of Alcohol, Vicotnik (what ever happened to him??) LadyZekke, Yorick, Wolfgir, Donut, SirTainly, Moiraine, Armisael, Wah, Stealthy (I think in the beginning he called himself Suul Yinn until Memny dubbed him the Stealth Bomber ) and some others who aren't around anymore... then later Cloudbringer, Ramonx3, Draconia, Davros, Jerome, Javi!! (miss that guy), Vaskez and Grojlach and so on...

But my first memories are of a small, blue, friendly and fun forum.
Miss all the people I mentioned that aren't around anymore.. wonder how they're doing...

I remember joining in November 2000 I think it was...a week after Armisael joined. He was an OZ too. Yorick was the third OZ who joined a few weeks later I think. Larry and Rikard and Ertai, were already here and had formed the OHF I think. That was still on the old blue board. Some of the other earlier names were Black Knight, Asphyxiate, Clouds, Bahamut (what was your name before that??) and Harks, then known as Zoratorak and Jerome of course. I'm sure I'm forgetting many more, but this was about three and a half years ago now.

Oh, and I remember when Madchen Melusine and Wah the Archmage crashed the blue board because they were spamming too much - we didn't have any mods back then...

November 2001. Galadria and I were stumped by (yuck!) Anomen's behavior in BGII. We did a Lycos search, turned up this place, asked our question and got it annswered. We were sporadic at first, only posted as problems occurred, then Galadria got in a fight with somebody dissing Viconia, and made me sign up for my own account, to support her. That was long after the blue board. Seems like we had a lot more trolls in those days, too.

June 2002. I was looking help for BG2 and my friend told me of this site. I`ve seen the hammers wich were spinning and I knew this was it. He said to me that I ask something for him and that was it. At the time Sir Exxon knew just about everything I asked. Later I became one big dirty spammer.

I have to admit, of those three, I always liked Ramon the best.

EDIT - to intensify a verb.
