I'm thinking about re-starting again. Does anyone know which files I should copy in case I change my mind and want to finish the game I'm in now. Two weeks ago I re-started by re-installing. I know if I delete the 'save' file, everyone is still at the Inn. Is this info stored in D6ARCHIV.DAT ? I don't want to re-start if I can't finish with this crew. Their only drawback is that 2 of them joined in too late to make up guild levels. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the board, Packrat!!!

Copy the files in your SAVE diretory to another area. Copy also the ROSTER.DAT file to that directory and you should be fine!

Have fun!!

Thanks for the help, Wyvern. Thats the one I missed, and I guess I should have been doing that every time I copied the SAVE file. I just had to reload yesterdays SAVE because I missed the serpants eye in dragon spire. I saw it fall, but didn't pick it up, didn't realize it was a quest item until I was looking thru the journal. It was real confusing, the time and date, didn't match the names and screen shots. (Oh well, whats another 4 or 5 hours of game play.)

Yep, it isn't obvious what information the roster.dat file is storing but noting that it gets updated at the same time the save files do - has to have some importance.

5 - 6 hours of game play - sounds like FUN!
