i am afraid i have killed the king on level 1 and now the trolley lever is not working. From looking at the solutions in the ww site it tells me i should have talked to him. how do i move forward?

Well -
You could reload a game from before having killed him. Or you can use the key that you should have gotten from him and look for the secret room off the throne room to get some Dragon Armor which will allow you to enter the Dragon Spire. Hope that helps! (I'd reload! and if you don't have a save from not too long ago before you killed him - learn to save more often!  )Wyv |

If you need to complete the Assassin's quest, you can try using the Vanish spell to get past the doors.

Agreed on the Vanish spell. I'm liking it more and more... did you know that a female Whiskahs is too big to go through lots of holes, many of which involve water? Vanish saved me from an embarrassingly long reload last night in Dragon Spire.
Just remember to cast a portal on the trolley side of the gates. Makes travel a whole lot easier...

Hey, you're the guy that whacked out Rethpian too. What's your problem. Killing everything that moves. W&W is supposed to be a heroic fantasy! Try being nicer to NPCs. It makes you warmer inside.
