I just wondered where was Irenicus' dungeon. Was it actually in waukeens promanade? because there are no signs to show it was, and also wouldnt people notice there was a big dungeon under the promanade?

Irenicuses dungeon was to the NW of waukeens promenade, with an entrance in the promenade itself. The large section of Promenade should be repaired throughout the game, but its not shown since the engine dosent like doing that sort of thing.

Nobody noticed it while it was accessible due to Irenicuses deceptions. Im guessing he would have a fairly sophisticated masquerade going on - probably a small shop with mind-controlled staff. This could be a cool thing to have if anyone wants to make a mod set before BG2.

Nobody noticed it afterwards because there wasnt much left to notice.

Or maybe the exit was originally somewhere else. The tunnel could have been 'exposed', when the big explosion that destroyed part of the Promenade happened

I was under the impression that Irenicus's dungeon was in a seperate place becuase you had to use the portals to get out and Waukeen's Promenade was where you just happened to pop out.

MAYBE, the main part of his dungeon is somewhere else, and the portals leads to a second part which is near waukeens place.

Once you are teleported out of ID, the text says something about that a tunnel behind you collapses... So there probably was some exit to WP from ID, but that exit collapsed... So ID is probably located somewhere below WP.
