Yep, you're missing it. Or you've missed it...

The Pats were busted early in the season for videotaping another team's signals. They were fined (heavily) and lost a draft pick next year, and that was the end of it.

Until the NFL destroyed the videotaped evidence, and some senator has gotten it into his mind that they shouldn't have done that, so he's initiating a heavy-handed "discussion" about it... his own vigilante court, IMHO.

And just three days ago, some video guy who was with the Pats five years ago claimed that he videotaped the Rams' walkthrough just prior to their SuperBowl meeting with the Pats.

So, yeah... you've missed it. I'd consider yourself lucky...

I recall the days of the Raiders, the John Madden era raiders, Kenny "The Snake" Stabler, and his corps of fanatical receivers, names like Casper, "Ghost to the Post", Biletnikoff, "Hands". The team was rated as one, if not the dirtiest teams in the NFL. Yet when it came to the super bowl, even the Raiders were not penalized as they could have been.

IMHO, unless it truly makes or saves a play, and it's not super zoomed, HDTV stadium replayed, they will let many of the minor infractions go. Obvious, flagrant, and flaunting infractions are a different story altogether.

Any in particular?
