Well I'm off work, my friend is visiting and we're going to play multiplayer BG2 on my LAN, so I reckon it's gonna be good.

That sounds like its going to be a lot of fun!!!

I would like to play BG2 multiplayer, but IPX games are just so slow on my computer.

You posted the 13th reply (Jaws music).

Well hopefully should be really quick as I have invested in some 100Mbps network cards and a fast Hub.

Can we really call it GOOD Friday then?

My 1st birthday was on Fri the 13th

Does that make me a child of the devil

Actually the whole mythology behind the number 13 and Friday came about because there were actually 13 people present at the Last Supper, or so I heard. It has something to do with the death of Christ, that much I know. And Christ died on a Friday, thus Friday the 13th is a symbol of bad luck. I believe there are some who also say that Jesus died on Friday the 13th.
It also symbolises something beyond, the unknown, like the whole clock chiming 13 times thing instead of 12.

Why?

In response to my own post I believe its rather interesting, because this is the year 2001AD, but is really the year 2000, as most of you should know. So Good Friday, Friday the 13th (if the stories of Christ dying on Friday the 13th) and exactly 2000 years since Christ died on Earth. Cool.

I don't think the maths works this way, dates and days don't line up evenly at decimal intervals. At date move 5 days every four years. However if the four year period crosses a turn of century boundary not divisible by 400, then it only moves four days.

I could be wrong here but I don't want to do the calculation. I can't remember the shorthand route for calculating what day a particular date fell on.
