Newbish stupidity (may contain spoilers if they're posted by others cuz I'm dumb)

Okay, so I cleared Nalia's family's house of trolls, (or so I thought...I think I got 'em all...I checked every room...) but then I left and came back later hoping that everything would be back to normal, hoping I'd have control of the keep (like my friend Dron Cah showed me on his game...) but no...there's a noble who claims some other dude is now in control, and the secret entrance is apparently sealed up...

What'd I do wrong? Go ahead and spoil me, because I'm not gonna be able to fix this in any way...no saves left of that time...

Nalia's family castle is only controllable by those player characters who belong to the fighter or monk classes. It is a class-restricted side-quest. If you belonged to any of those classes, Nalia would propose an arranged marriage to you in order to prevent the castle from falling into the hands of the Roenall family.
But, if you happen to like a suggestion, keep Nalia in your group. The referred falling of the castle is not the end of the story...

Nalia does not propose an arranged marriage. Your character may bring it up and she will refuse. She will install you as lord of the keep.
