![]() Yeah, Sorry about that guys. I've been preparing a total revamp of Ironworksforum--with the forum upgrade to the latest version-- was testing new things and for some reason, It would load locally fine--didn't know it didnt work outside of my local network. It also MAY have to do with me adding high-end encryption to Ironworksforum. so you will see in your browser the https:// instead of the http://.. (with the little green lock) ![]() STILL implementing it here--takes more work for the higher priced one. IIS isn't as easy as my remotely hosted www.tgeweb.com site, which I paid to also get encryption--but cheaper, as no one has to 'log in' over there. It was $99 a year for tgeweb.com, For Ironworksforum, I wanted higher bit encryption 256 bit, also adds a green check-mark (oooohhhh!) hehe.. but that cost $320 for 2 years. You can check www.tgeweb.com now, and its fully encrypted--HTTPS... I'm doing this first before I begin a massive winter upgrade. new server with 32gigs of ram, NVME hard drives and more. (It'll load MUCH faster). This is needed for the new software (same as this one, just far more advanced). And need the new processor/ram/nvme's due to the huge database--it's huge--the search database is even larger! Also, the GREAT news is the new forum vBulletin software is MUCH harder to stop spam bots making accounts--this is why I had to suspend new memberships--because no matter what I did--all kinds of captcha, and other things, they still got through. Sucked.... so frustrating. But this huge upgrade will take place over the Winter. No date as to when it'll be finished, but it should be all complete by Feb 2025. (Maybe earlier). So it'll bring tons of new members as my Youtube Channel is growing now. (If you haven't checked it out), its at https://www.youtube.com/@ironworksgaming .. Ironworks Gaming / Ironworksforum will NEVER die. It took a hit for a while due to social media, but I think many are sick of that. There's no real sense of Family. We're a close knit group. And I plan to make it cutting edge again. This also means a refresh of the main Ironworks page, as well as the tgeweb/Ironworks Gaming website. Updated weekly with gaming news and more! I've been closely watching the industry over the years, so I'll be up-to-date. ![]() I mean, look at Ubisoft.... wow. And the success of Helldivers. Then the amazing failure of Concord--Sony taking over a $400 million dollar loss and recalling the game. Crazy... Video reviews on Youtube will also be mixed into Ironworks Gaming. More soon....... |
