hey! I managed to make my way to the lowest reaches of the sewers where the old temple rests. I have managed to make it inside only to find that the guy inside is invincible... having spoken with the people outside of the temple i understand that i can not destroy this enemy naturally... was just wondering if someone could tell me how to get past this... and if i do not need to kill him, what i am supposed to do. I will except spoilers... i've been stuck for days! (maybe i'm just stupid...)

I believe the beholder... its the guy that is badly injured when u first see him.... something about feeding hatred... thanks for welcoming me! I hope to be a helpful new addition!

Welcome, and fear not. I pondered that same situation for a while before coming to this very forum for the answer (once upon a while ago).

The "Demon" thrives on pain. Any damage you do to it will only heal it. Try something different.

Try healing it. Cure medium wounds will take it out of action long enough to talk with the Avatar.

SPOILER!!!!!

Refresh my memory..., it has been a while. There is one creature that you fight, it might be the temple quest, that you can only hurt with healing spells. This is inside the building with the people outside that have a depression problem.

has this every happened to any of you? i was doin the Unseen Eye quest one time and I accidentally killed a guy and the Beholder came than i killed it and the quest just ended, is that supposed to happen?

Yes it is meant to happen because this is the purpose of the quest. Also frome above cure light wounds works as well to be able to talk to the avitar. :smile
