As some of you may know, I am currently soloing the game on insane difficulty with a multiclass fighter-illusionist gnome. So far so good, I've done the circus quest and the (with some effort) cleared Lavok's planar sphere and claimed it (mage stronghold). I decided I needed some cash, so after freeing Hendak and some slaves at the copper coronet, I agreed to help Nalia. Having cleared out the keep (that dogmeat is excellent for a soloist!), I then proceded to come whine at Nalia's doorstep for my reward in hard cash.........
But I got De'Arnise keep! That means I now have both the mage fortress ad the fighter one, surely this isn't meant to happen! What do you think? P.S. No, I don't have Nalia in my party.

I've seen it posted here before, but have never had it work for me.

Yes... i had that happen once with my Fighter-Mage-Theif Elf. I ended up with the Fighter Stronghold and the Theif stronghold by that same process u described above. I think it must be a bug in some versions of the game... I have read of another way to do this... First do the fighter thing, tell Nalia ul think about it. Go back and get ur other stronghold, then go and tell Nalia u want the fighter stronghold, voila 2 strongholds!! I have yet to try this second method thiguh, so i cant guarentee it.

Spoiler!
. . . . . . . . . . . . It is Mae'Vars guildhouse, you get it after the Renal Bloodscalp quest. It entails telling your theives to either go for high risk, medium risk or low risk, the higher the risk the more money and you have to pay tribute to Renal Bloodscalp every 5 days. Edit: Thanks for reminding me, i don't really think of it as a spoiler as i only really play thieves and occasionally a bard or sorceror. |
