ALSB follows Neb to battle a great evil.... - Page 4

(I'm not holding the damn thing, it's in front of me.)

Neb sees Avatar racing towards him and quickly swallows a potion of Storm Giant Strength and puts on his Adamantium Knuckles, he stops Avatar and says, "Hey, Elf, I need that mallet." he then delivers a punch to Avatar's forehead, stunning him or knocking him out, Neb dosen't see which because he grabs Avatar's mallet and runs towards the black diamond, ignoring the fact that the holy mallet is burning his hand, he swings the mallet and strikes the diamond.

The diamond begins to crack and a loud wailing sound can be heard, Neb stands in front of the diamond arms spread wide and preparing to gain the power of a god, but something goes wrong, suddenly the wailing sound changes to an
un-earthly cry of rage, a black bolt of lightning springs forth from the crack in the diamond and strikes Neb's chest, flinging him backwards halfway out of the temple, the black lightning also strikes various other things and people.

Neb gets to his feet and sees the diamond begin to shake and crack, a large piece of black diamond is ripped off the big diamond by the immense forces inside struggling to escape, it heads directly towards Neb at an astonishing speed, Neb grabs the diamond shard and stuffs it inside his robe, he then limps towards the exit as flying diamond shards fill the air around him.

The crystal malet has a return ability and burns Neb's hands with 2nd degree burns

The Malet returns and Avatar recovers from the stun blow. The HUGE black Diamond has formed a HUGE undead monster of immense strength! Avatar flips through his "guide to big nasties- by Aerie" this looks like a cross between a fallen solar and a lich! Sounds mildly hard

Neb come back!

Neb hears Avatar's shout and laughs, he is already three dunes away from the temple and he uses his horn to once again summon gryphons, but only two, one to carry him and the other to carry the large Black Diamond Shard, he climbs onto the back of one of the gryphons and orders it to carry him to his castle, the gryphons take off and as Neb gets a last look at the temple before flying away from the desert he laughs, he sees the light of day dissapearing as the sun sets and the temple and it's entrance is once more engulfed by shadow, let the holy fools fight the shadows at night, he thought, they won't survive THIS battle.

Avatar has had enough and summons Grifons to fly him and Sir Arn away.
The huge creature could not beat Avatar's dexterity and the grifons sweep the tired adveturers away.
Being closely associated with Lathander Avatar gives the temple locations to the morning god. The holy Lathander casted a beam of pure celestrial diviness and it shattered the entire temple....

Avatar flies back to the ALSB temple...
